Artist Supplied Background:

“Brandon Snow is an Austin based artist working in and pushing the envelopes of photography, screen printing, and fine art. Snow takes intense, intimate, high contrast photographs and presents them to his audience in a grandiose scale. Usually working with film photography he first develops his negatives in his bathroom, turns the negatives into large scale silk screens (which he produces himself in a DIY fashion in his studio garage), hand prints them onto canvases, hand stretches them, and frames them himself. The finished product can steal your attention from across a crowded gallery and pull you in to evaluate every single detail, every single imperfection, and every single decision made in the piece. Snow’s work stands out due to its massive scale, stark photography, deep concepts, and select use of red paint. You can follow him on Instagram and he has a large showcase coming up in May 2016 consisting of up to 15 new large scale works at the Art on 5th Gallery in Austin, Texas.”
